Graduation Excitement at the Faculty of Theology for the 2024–2025 Academic Year

As part of the Karabük University 2024–2025 Academic Year graduation ceremonies, the Faculty of Theology held its graduation program with great enthusiasm and pride at the 15 July Martyrs Conference Hall. A total of 180 students who successfully completed their undergraduate education experienced the joy of graduation.

The ceremony was attended by Karabük University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Solmaz, Dean of the Faculty of Theology Prof. Dr. Abdulcebbar Kavak, academic and administrative staff of the faculty, as well as the families of the graduates.

In his opening speech, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Solmaz emphasized that graduating from a Faculty of Theology is not merely a profession, but a way of life. He stated, "We expect our graduates not to limit their efforts to our country alone, but to carry their knowledge, experience, and values to the entire world."

Dean Prof. Dr. Abdulcebbar Kavak also addressed the graduates, saying, “You are not only responsible for yourselves but also for your families, your nation, the Islamic world, and all humanity. Therefore, you must act with greater strength, determination, and productivity.”

Following the speeches, the Faculty of Theology Music Ensemble presented a short recital. Afterwards, certificates of achievement were awarded to the top-ranking students. Fatih Emre Ataseven was named the valedictorian, followed by Kübra Nur Arsalı in second place and İsmail Sağır in third.

In his speech, valedictorian Fatih Emre Ataseven said, “At this faculty, we have learned not only knowledge but also wisdom, ethics, and responsibility. It is our duty to see what we have learned not as a source of pride, but as a means of service. May our graduation be blessed, and our future fruitful.”

Honorary Graduation Certificate for a Devoted Mother

One of the most touching moments of the ceremony was the presentation of an honorary graduation certificate and a plaque of appreciation to Mrs. Emine Uğraş, who accompanied her daughter Semanur Uğraş — a student with disabilities — to and from the university every day for four years. This meaningful gesture was met with warm applause from the audience and brought emotional moments to the hall.
